Andreas Hauri is sales representative of Bucher Unipektin for filtration systems for beer for the Russian Federation, CIS countries, Japan, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and the Great Britain.
Born in Switzerland, 30th November 1976, he studied Food Science and Engineering at the Federal Technical Institute in Zürich and National Institute for Agronomy and Food Industry in Massy/Paris, France. The diploma thesis was based on starch suspension and temperature measurements by MRI at the Herchel Smith Laboratory for Medical Chemistry in Cambridge U.K.
Having worked in Food Industry first in R&D and then sales of savoury and sweet ingredients for B2B customers, organoleptic characterising of various food products and sensory tasting sessions were an integral part of the daily work.
Several practical trainings in the wine sector in Switzerland and Chile as well as a research project on yeast strains in wine lay a base of a strong interest in fermented food and beverages. In spare time, home brewing has become a hobby in order to develop a deeper understanding of beer and brewing as well as for the enjoyment for family and friends.
